A shy photographer (Victor Rasuk) living at home with his overly affectionate mother becomes obsessed with taking pictures of a disconsolate optometrist (Heather Graham) he spies through his lens. At first shocked by Rasuk's invasion of her personal space, Graham soon embarks on a torrid affair with him, in part to deal with the emotional turmoil of treating a man who is going blind.
